Lavender Seventh in Georgia

Mooresville, NC (07/20/10) - Jody Lavender finished 7th in his first race in the CRA Super Series at the Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson GA last weekend. After the race Jody said, "This is the first time we have been here since they repaved the track and renovated the facility.

It’s now one of the nicer tracks anywhere around. It is also one of the faster tracks around. We weren’t prepared for the changes and all the rain kept us from getting much practice. I think we were 20th in the 1st practice, we qualified 14th, and finished 7th. We made 4 pit stops and were improving but ran out of time. The competition in this series is so tough it’s hard to "catch-up" if you’re not ready when you get here. We didn’t win but we got some good experience."
