Lavender Third at Greenville-Pickens
South Boston is Next on April 3rd
Mooresville, NC (03/29/10) - Jody Lavender
made his first start of the 2010 season at the
Greenville-Pickens Speedway in the NASCAR K&N Filters
series. After a poor qualifying, he started in the 20th
position. But when all of the 150 laps had been
completed, he had moved all the way up to 3rd.
"It wasn’t an easy race" Jody said after the race. "This
series has at least 10 cars capable of winning every
race. We were lucky and this JBR team never gave up. The
car was good at the first of the race but got loose at
the end. We’re happy with 3rd but I’ve finished in the
top-5 so many times at this track, it sure would have
been nice to have a win."
The race will be replayed on Thursday, April 1st at 6 pm
on the Speed Channel.
Jody also said, "We’ll be at South Boston, Va. next week
(April 3rd) but that’s the only other race we plan to
run in this series this year. We’d like to run more but
all the travel takes so much time away from my business,
Custom Race Chassis, and my family. We will run some
races closer to home in the PASS Series."
