Lavender to Compete in NASCAR K&N East Race at Greenville, SC

Mooresville, NC (03/07/10) - Jody Lavender will run his first race of the 2010 season at Greenville Pickens Speedway on Saturday, March 27th. He will compete in the NASCAR K & N Procup Series East. The series is the same as the Camping World East Series from last year. He will drive the same #88 car he has driven for the past two years. The car is owned by Jimmy Burgess and JBR Racing in Methuen, Mass.

Jody said, “I look forward to going back to Greenville and racing for Jimmy again. We finished 2nd last year and we also had a 2nd place several years ago. Greenville has always been one of my better tracks and a win would be extra special since it is close to home.”

When asked about other races in 2010, he said, “We may run South Boston but won’t be running the full schedule. Most of my racing this year will be close to home. I own the Custom Chassis race shop and need to devote more time to it and not travel as much as last year.”
