Lavender Struggles at Lime Rock

Mooresville, NC (08/21/09) - Jody Lavender knew when he went to the road course in Lime Rock CT that he probably wouldn’t win the race but he hoped to have a decent run and keep his hopes alive in the points chase of the NASCAR Camping World East Series.

At the end of the race Jody was 14th in the finishing order and said, “We didn’t have a good day but we’ll go on to the last two races and do our best. We won’t quit until the last checkered flag falls.”

Jody dropped to 3rd in the points standing and is 87 points behind leader Ryan Truex and 37 points behind 2nd place Eddie MacDonald. He is 46 points ahead of Steve Park and last year’s champion Matt Kobyluck who are tied for 4th place.

The final two races will be at the New Hampshire Speedway on September 18th and Dover International Speedway on September 25th.
