Lavender Gets "Dumped" to Third

Mooresville, NC (07/13/09) - Jody Lavender started the Thompson, CT race in 14th position and moved up to the top six but with nine laps remaining in the race, he got “dumped” in turn one. It was costly to Jody because he had to go back to the rear and could only get back to finish 11th.

He also dropped from 1st place to 3rd in the points. The points battle is very competitive with less than 100 points separating the top six drivers. Only 4 races remain and Jody said, “We can’t worry about what has happened but we’ll have to do our best in the last 4 races.”

The next race is at Adirondack, NY on August 1st, followed by Lime Rock, CT on August 15th, Loudon, NH on September 18th and Dover, DE on September 25th.
