Lavender Hopes to Rebound at New Hampshire

Mooresville, NC (06/19/09) - Overall Jody Lavender has had a good year in the NASCAR Camping World East Series. He is second in points and only 18 points out of first place. He has led the points for most of the season but a 14th place finish at the road course in Watkins Glen, NY dropped him back to 2nd.

Jody said, “We liked it much better in first place and that’s our goal for the rest of the season. The entire team is pumped up and excited about our chances. We’ve been called the “poor-man’s” racing team and that’s fine. We don’t have the funds we would like to have but we will take what we have and do the best we can. Maybe we are the leveraging team. We do the most with the least. But JBR Racing team owner, Jimmy Burgess, is great. He loves this race team and he does everything he can to provide us with the best. We definitely have a competitive team. We’ve made some more improvements and with a little luck we’ll be there at the end. This is only the 2nd year for this team and the improvements are still showing.”

Jody’s next race is the New Hampshire Speedway on Friday, June 26th. The NASCAR Nationwide Series will race on Saturday and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will race on Sunday.
