Lavender Leads NASCAR East Points

Mooresville, NC (04/28/09) - Jody Lavender continued to run strong in the NASCAR Camping World East Series with a 4th place finish at Tri-County Speedway in Hudson, NC. This finish, along with a 2nd place at Greenville-Pickens, moved him to the top of the points standings. But, Jody was spun by another car as he crossed the start-finish line causing major damage to his car. After the race Jody said, “This was a wild night. The track got real slick, I got knocked into the wall on the back stretch earlier which knocked the toe-in out, and I got spun as I took the checkered flag. I want to thank my car owner, Jimmy Burgess, and the entire JBR racing team for the hard work they put in on a hot day.”

The race will be replayed on the Speed Channel TV network on Thursday, April 30th at 3 pm.
