Lavender to Race at Greenville-Pickens April 11th

Mooresville, NC (03/25/09) - Jody Lavender will compete in the NASCAR Camping World East Series race at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Saturday, April 11, 2009.

He will be driving the same H & R Block sponsored #88 Ford Fusion owned by Jimmy Burgess and JBR Racing that he drove last year. Jody said, “I look forward to going back to Greenville. It has always been one of my favorite tracks. Last year we started 18th and finished 6th. We also had brake problems that caused us problems.” Jody also said, “We plan to run the race at Tri-County Motor Speedway (Hudson, NC) on April 25th and South Boston Speedway, VA on May 30th. These are the only three races we plan to run and don’t plan the full schedule.”

Jody has never competed at Tri-County and this will give him a challenge. However, South Boston has been one of his better tracks. Last year he started 23rd and finished 6th. He also had to come from the rear after breaking a transmission shifter and making a pit stop to attach the vise grip plan.
 

The Greenville-Pickens race will be televised on Speed at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 16th.
