Jody Lavender Prepares for Last Race

Mooresville, NC (10/02/08) - The final race of the 2008 NASCAR Camping World East Series is scheduled at the Stafford Springs, CT Speedway on Sunday, October 12th. Jody Lavender will be competing in the JBR Racing Chevy #88. In the last race at Dover Speedway, Jody had a good run when he started 28th and finished 8th. He received the Powerade Power Move of the Race by improving the most positions and also the Featherlite Most Improved Driver award for improving the most positions over the previous race.

Jody said, “I’m looking forward to the Stafford race. We ran there two years ago and finished 4th. We’ve also run our new car the past two races and it’s been good. We’ve been in the top-4 both races but we ran out of gas in New Hampshire with 6 laps remaining and missed the handling a little in Dover. It’s been a year that we have been good at times but little problems have hurt us. We’re in a very competitive series and we’ll do our best at Stafford. We have a good car, a good team, and the potential to win and move up in the points.”

Jody is 11th in the point’s championship and only 30 points out of 10th place. The point’s battle is close from 5th to 10th with only 160 points separating the two.
