Cut Tire Drops Lavender
 

Mooresville, NC (07/23/08) - Jody Lavender probably passed more cars than any driver in the NASCAR Camping World East Series at Nashville but he had to settle for a 16th place finish. He lost 3 laps in the pits on lap 34 of the 150 lap race when he cut a tire and had to pit under green. At the end of the race, he was still 3 laps down. All of the lead lap cars he passed were put back in front of him on the restarts after a caution and any car less than 3 laps down was the beneficiary of the Lucky Dog free pass.

After the race Jody said, “We had a good car on long runs but after we got 3 laps down, all we could do was run as hard as we could and hope for the best. It just wasn’t good enough with the caution situation.” Jody is tied with Jeffrey Earnhardt for 10th place in the points standings and the next race is at Adirondack NY this weekend.
