Lavender 9th at South Georgia
 

Durham, NC (Oct. 24, 2007) - Jody Lavender started in the rear of the field at South Georgia Speedway in the 4th race of the Hooters Pro-Cup championship series.  Jody had qualified 9th but had to start in the rear in the Greased Lightning JFCO Motorsports Ford Fusion. After the race, Jody said, “We had a good car when we qualified 9th but when the race started, we had problems with the handling of the car.  Since we were in the rear, we made numerous pit stops trying to get the car better but nothing seemed to help.

This racetrack is hard to pass on but we were able to get back to 9th. We also moved from 22nd to a tie for 15th place in the points battle. With only one race left at Lakeland, Florida on November 3rd, we are only 44 points out of 10th place, 92 points out of 5th place, and 110 points out of 2nd place. We still have a good chance of having a decent finish in the points if we can have a good run at Lakeland.  We want to thank our sponsor, Greased Lightning, for supporting us this year and we’ll do our best to have a strong finish at Lakeland.”
