The Q&A feature normally appears in "Trackside News," the official newsletter of the Hooters Pro Cup Series, at each stop along the 21-race schedule.

 

Jody Lavender, driver of the No. 4n Greased Lightning Ford, was the driver featured in the Pro Cup Skinny at Shenandoah Speedway earlier this year.

 

Lavender, a native of Hartsville, S.C., has been racing since an early age. Lavender competed at various tracks in Late Model competition before moving to the NASCAR Elite Division. From there, Lavender moved to the Craftsman Truck Series and finished second to Carl Edwards for the Rookie of the Year in 2003. Since joining the Hooters Pro Cup Series in 2004, Lavender has amassed one win, 13 top-five finishes and 32 top-10 finishes in less than 70 starts.
