Lavender Looks Forward to Lake Erie
 

Durham, NC (July 25, 2007) - Jody Lavender has never seen the Lake Erie Speedway but he looks forward to racing there this weekend. He is having the best season of his career in the Hooters Pro-Cup series. He is currently 4th in the Northern Division points battle with only Lake Erie and South Boston races remaining on the regular season schedule.

Jody said, “We are having a good year and hopefully we can keep our momentum going forward through the rest of the year which includes the two Northern series races and five championship races. Most of our success this year is due to our sponsor ‘Greased Lightning’ and Jay Fogleman and his JFCO Motorsports team. This has been a dream come true for me and I’ll do my best to keep the ‘Greased Lightning’ car and team at the top.

Lavender is also a member of the “Clean Team Program” sponsored by Greased Lightning and The Works. Eight drivers compete for contingency awards at each series race. The best qualifying driver and the highest finishing driver each receive $250 each. A $25,000 end of the season bonus will be paid to team members based on points earned on the track and off the track for charities and marketing work done on behalf of Greased Lightning and The Works.
