Lavender to "Home Track" at Myrtle Beach
 

Durham, NC (June 18, 2007) - When Hartsville native, Jody Lavender, started racing at age 16, he participated at the local tracks in Florence and Myrtle Beach, SC. Now, 11 years later, he heads back to Myrtle Beach to compete again at his ‘home track’. This time he will be competing in the Hooters Pro Cup Touring Series. The Pro Cup Series is one of the most competitive series around and has had 45-50 cars every week competing for the 32-36 starting positions.   Jody said, “It’s always good to come back to Myrtle Beach. We’re competing in the Northern Division this year and Myrtle Beach is a Southern Division

track. This means that we’ll have to race our way into the starting field and won’t be racing for points. Our main goal is to win this race for our sponsor, ‘Greased Lightning’, the JFco Motorsports team, and all our fans and supporters. We have some special things planned for our sponsors and fans at Myrtle Beach.”
