Lavender Excited About 2007 Changes

Durham, NC (April 4, 2007) - Jody Lavender travels to South Boston, Virginia on Saturday, April 14th for the opening race of the Northern Division of the Hooters Pro Cup season. It will be his first race in the Northern Division, plus his first race in the Greased Lightning sponsored Ford Fusion.

It will also be his first race with JFCO Motorsports and teammate Jay Fogleman. Another change will be a #4 yellow car.  Lavender said, “This is the best opportunity I have had in my racing career, and I’ll do all I can to put the #4 Greased Lightning car into victory lane. All of this would not have been possible without Greased Lightning and JFCO Motorsports.”

Lavender is also a member of the “Clean Team Program” sponsored by Greased Lightning and The Works. Eight drivers will compete for contingency awards at each series race. The best qualifying driver and the highest finishing driver will receive $250 each. A $25,000 end of the season bonus will be paid to team members based on points earned on the track and off the track for charities and marketing work done on behalf of Greased Lightning and The Works. Other team members are Jay Fogleman, Dange Hanniford, Mark McFarland, A.J. Frank, Benny Gordon, Jeff Fultz, and Clay Jones.
