Lavender Has Problems Again

Mooresville, NC (November 16, 2006) - Jody Lavender continued to have problems in the Hooters Pro-Cup series race at South Georgia Speedway.

He started 17th and was content to stay there until the other cars got stretched out. This worked good until a big pileup on the back stretch and Jody had no where to go. The result was a front end that looked like a snowplow blade; the rear had no spoiler and was also mashed in. After four trips to the pits for band-aids and bungee cords, Jody was back on the track without loosing a lap but back to 32nd position.

After a couple of more crashes, Jody’s car looked like it had been in a demolition derby. Considering everything, a 16th place finish wasn’t bad.

After the race, Jody said, “The track was only one groove tonight and it was tough to pass. When we were here earlier this year, the bottom groove was good but not tonight. It wasn’t our night; everywhere we went was wrong but we’ll be back at Lakeland in two weeks.”
