Lavender 5th in Aaron's Dream Machine at Stafford, Conn.

Mooresville, NC (June 18, 2006) - In only his second start in the NASCAR Busch East Series, Jody Lavender showed that he is competitive by finishing 5th in the race at Stafford, Conn. Jody said he was satisfied with his finish. Jody said, “This was our first time on this track and we had approximately an hour of practice. If we could have had a little more practice, we could have had the car more competitive. We’ve only run this car twice and have had a lot of fun. The car had been sitting in the garage for about three years. We dusted it off, repainted it, added the Aaron logos, and carried it to the race track. Aaron’s has been a big help to us in these two races and we want to thank them for their help. We won’t be able to run the full schedule in the NASCAR Busch East Series due to conflicting race dates with the Hooters Pro-Cup Series but we plan to run more this year.”

Jody also said, “For now, the Myrtle Beach Hooters Pro-Cup race is our #1 priority. We’d like nothing more than to win one for our local fans. For the last three years, we’ve had good cars, had good runs going, but problems have plagued us.”

The Aaron’s 250, sponsored by Black’s Tire and Auto Service, is scheduled for 7:30 pm Saturday night, June 24th.
