Lavender Looks Forward to Lakeland
 

Mooresville, NC (June 1, 2005) - After scoring his first Hooters Procup win at the Ace Speedway on May 6, Jody Lavender is looking forward to the next race at Lakeland. Lavender said, "We had to completely rebuild our car after the Ace race and now we’re ready for Lakeland. The three weeks off also gave us time to finish our backup car which will give us a little cushion for the upcoming races."

Lavender continued, “We’re still excited about our win at Ace and nothing could be better than to follow it up with a win at Lakeland. We’re also excited about everything that our new crew chief, "Birdie" (Steve Bird), has brought to this team. It’s amazing the ideas and knowledge that he has and he deserves most of the credit for the win we had at Ace. He gave us a good car and made a pit stop call that gave us good track position. He’s always been a winner (including four Nascar Busch Grand National Championships) and our goal is to keep him a winner with us, and hopefully another championship."
