Lavender Has Strong Run in Northern Series

Mooresville, NC (May 30, 2006) - Jody Lavender made his first appearance in the Hooters Pro-Cup Northern Division at the Jennerstown,Pa. speedway last weekend.

Jody said, “We were pleased with our run. We qualified 3rd and finished 5th. Our car was tight at the end of the race, but we think we learned enough to help us in the championship race later this year. Also, we have had some handling problems with this car but it was pretty good this time.”

This weekend, Lavender will return to Lakeland, Fla. for another race in the Southern Division. He also said, “Our performance at Lakeland has not been consistent but hopefully this week we can get on track.”

June 10th is an off weekend for the Southern Division but Jody won’t be off. He’ll be at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway competing in the NASCAR Grand National Busch East race. Jody said, “We’re not going for the trip – we think we have a good competitive car and have a chance of winning. Greenville has always been a good track for us and hopefully the experience will help.”
