Lavender Still Consistent
 

Mooresville, NC (July 26, 2005) - At the beginning of the 2005 racing season, Jody Lavender said one of the main goals of his team was to improve their consistency. Based on the past five races, it appears they have achieved the consistency with five top-ten finishes and a jump to 7th in the Southern points; only eleven points out of 6th place and only 29 points out of 4th place.

Lavender continued his consistency last weekend at the Southern National Speedway when he qualified 3rd, took the lead on lap 126 of the 250 lap race, and finished 4th, after experiencing late brake problems. The race was won by Mark McFarland in the Dale Earnhardt, Jr. car and he was followed by the 2004 Hooters Pro-Cup champion, Clay Rogers, in second and 2003 Hooters Pro-Cup champion, Shane Huffman, in 3rd.
