Jody's Racing Career
In 2007, Jody began racing in the Northern Division of the Hooters Pro-Cup
Series for Jay Fogleman and JFCO Motorsports after racing in the Southern
Division for three years in a family owned car. He is driving the #4 Ford
Fusion sponsored by Greased Lightning Racing. His sights are on a National
Championship in 2007.
In 2006, Jody continued racing in the Southern Division of the Hooters
Pro-Cup Series and had three top-five finishes, eight top-ten finishes, and
led 38 laps. He finished 10th in the Southern Division standings and 18th in
the Championship Division standings.
In 2005, Jody continued racing in the Southern Division of the Hooters
Pro-Cup Series and had one win, seven top-five finishes, twelve top-ten
finishes, and led 123 laps. Jody finished 5th in the Southern Division
standings and 6th in the Championship Division standings. Jody added another
award to his 2005 racing season in the Hooters Pro-Cup Series when he was
voted "Most Popular Driver". This award was sponsored by Speed51.com and he
received the largest vote total on any "Most Popular Driver" award that
Speed51.com had hosted. The winner was determined by votes from fans.
In 2004, Jody began racing in the Southern Division of the Hooters Pro-Cup
Series. He had one top-five and two top-ten finishes. He finished 14th in
the Southern Division standings and 28th in the Championship Division
standings.
In 2003, Jody competed in twenty-one races for Bobby Dotter Racing in the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Jody won two Rookie of the Race awards and
was the Raybestos Rookie of the Year runner-up. He also won four Waste
Management Hard Charger awards and finished 17th in points. Jody raced and
finished 23rd in his first NASCAR Busch Series start at the North Carolina
Motor Speedway in Rockingham, NC in a family owned car.
In 2002, Jody competed in the NASCAR All-Pro Series. He had two top-five
finishes and was voted "Most Popular Driver". He finished 2nd in Rookie of
the Year points.
Jody began his racing career in 1996 at the age of sixteen in the Mini-Stock
Division at Florence (SC) Motor Speedway. From 1996 through 2001, Jody
competed in the Mini-Stock, Charger, and Late Model Stock divisions in
Florence, SC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Caraway, NC; and Hickory, NC.
